Newmarket Duets
by Ryan Thomson
with Dave Hallowell, David Surette, Don Wessels, Paul Mangion, Mary Paul, Steve Brown, Bob Paul, Regina Delaney, Fred Carne, Conor Makem

Southern New Hampshire seems to me to be something of a mecca for New England style contra dancing; the Peterborough dances draw crowds from all over and are well worth the trip. Many of the folks that were instrumental in helping revive contra dancing in the '70s live, call, dance and play music right in that area. The list of names is long, but the one that is important here is Ryan Thomson. On this CD Ryan and his friends play traditional and original tunes that have been favorites at dances for over thirty years. You won't be dissappointed!
